Wednesday Thoughts

Not that anyone is remotely interested, but for almost a dozen years now my regular breakfast has been assorted fruits and porridge. However, today it triggered off a thought on the Fruits of the Spirit which is what we will be using as a start to these weekly 'foods for thought and contemplation' - find a bible and please check out

Galatians 5:22 (NRSV Bible)

love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity,
faithfulness, gentleness and self-control -
all are fruits of the Spirit

Here we have our material for the next four/five weeks - today it's love and joy - two of the most essential ingredients in our human make-up. If we are full of love and joy there is no space left for hate and gloom! And the people we encounter in our day-to-day lives will feel drawn to us and want something of what we have for themselves! Let our aim this week be to spread as much love and joy as we possibly can, casting all doom and gloom aside!

Remember you can't do this in person but there's nothing to stop us doing it by making phone calls, on line, if that's available to you, and also in our prayers. Prayers for others are probably more important now than at any other time. Tell people you're praying for them so they know that, despite the fact we can't meet face to face, people are still thinking of them.

Blessings everyone
