Hayes Sector trip to Spring Harvest

On Thursday, 10th April, loins were girded (whatever that might mean), bags had been packed to bursting point and a total of fourteen adults, eight youngsters and one very small baby from the Hayes and Hayes End churches climbed aboard a car or five, all bound for Minehead, on the north coast of Somerset. They were going to "Spring Harvest" - some to receive their annual 'fix', while others were embarking on this yearly uplifting and spiritual adventure for the very first time.

One of the many things that is inspiring about Spring Harvest is the different artistic talents that are on display. Apart from the obvious ones like musicians, the Big Encounter also includes dance, worship with flags, enacting Bible passages and artists expressing the theme on temporary canvases.
