Women's Bright Hour

Our meetings open with a chat, a cup of tea and a selection of hymns or choruses of the member's choice. We then have speakers on various subjects. Many people from local churches give up their time to talk to us about their varied interests and experiences or places they have been to. 

On our anniversary each year we invite people from local churches to celebrate our faith and have tea with us. It gives us great pleasure to meet up with like minded people from all over the area on this and other occasions.

If you would like to join us you would be more than welcome and, who knows, perhaps you have a story you could share with us as well.

Ashwood Visits

Fortnightly visits take place to the Ashwood Care Centre for a time of worship and fellowship with the residents. If you'd like to join us, contact us by email and we'll let you have more details.

Craft Group

We're a group of ladies of varying ages who meet together to enjoy each others company and make use of our various skills. Some have ideas, others turn them into reality and all like to chat!

Some of our time is spent making banners to hang in church and small craft items to sell at fundraising events. This session we are concentrating on making greetings cards using different techniques. New members of all ages (and both sexes) are always welcome.

SAS Club

If you fancy a game of badminton, table tennis, snooker or darts then this is the group for you. For the less energetic we can offer board games as well. A time for fun and fellowship which is open to all. We meet fortnightly, on the same evening as the Craft Group.

Fellowship Group

The evening starts with a drink and time of fellowship and then we settle down to our 'entertainment' for the evening. We have had speakers on various topics from computer software through steam trains to foreign travel over the past months; some speakers talk about their jobs, others some aspect of their lives. Come along and join us - you might learn about something new or maybe you could tell us about something that interests you!
