Why Campaign?

As Christians we believe we must try to make this world a better, fairer place for all of its peoples no matter where they live. This is the reason we have joined the campaigns that seek justice for the poorer nations of our world.

Since we also believe in a Creator God, we feel that we must work to improve the environment, both here and overseas, and reduce the impact that we have on it as much as possible.

Which Campaigns?

Debt - Jubilee Debt Campaign is the continuation of the Jubilee 2000 movement which campaigns for cancellation of the debts of the poorest countries. Much was promised in the Millennium year by politicians, but little debt relief has actually materialised, so the camaigning continues.

Trade - The Trade Justice Movement is looking to challenge the assumption that free trade will help poorer countries to improve the lives of their citizens.

Environment - The EcoCongregation initiative is aimed directly at churches and offers advice and resources to help the church and its members to have less impact on the environment.

A Rocha UK is a Christian conservation organisation based in Southall. It works to improve the local environment and to try to help local people understand and use the green spaces we have near us.
